TRR Institute of Medical Sciences established for admitting 150 MBBS students annually to give world class training. Initially, it is operational with 360 beds with all basic specialities like Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Opthalmology, Paediatrics, Dermatology, ENT, Psychiatry, Pulmonology, Physiotherapy etc. There are 04 Nos. of operation theatres to cater to the needs of various specialties. The emergency medicine and trauma departments are working round the clock. It is adequately equipped to deal with all emergencies. The Intensive care unit is well equipped with monitors, ventilators and other supportive systems for giving necessary treatment to the critically ill-patients. ACADEMICS

The TRRIMS is the hub of academic activities, library, lecture halls and examination hall. Separate Recreation Rooms are available for boys & girls, departments equipped with Laboratory, Demonstration Halls, Seminar Room, Faculty/staff rooms.

All the Pre and Para clinical departments have state of the art museum with collections of gross specimens, models, charts, photographs, transparency slides and other exhibits.

A Medical Illustration & Photography unit in the college is assisting the departments to develop exhibits, charts, models etc used as aids in the teaching of UG students and others.

Lecture Halls:

The Academic Block houses 04 fully air-conditioned lecture halls provided with excellent seating arrangements and latest audio visual equipment’s. Audio visual aids provided in the lecture halls include sound amplifier system, overhead projection, 35 mm slide projection and LCD projections apart from the traditional black board and chalk. The lecture halls have also equipped with facilities for E-learning.

Examination Halls :

Two Examination Halls with adequate seating capacity and designed in such a way that all students are in clear view of the supervisor. The halls are under CCTV surveillance.

Central Library:

A state of art Library cum Digital Information Centre spread over 20 thousand Square meters located in the Academic Block. The library has ergonomically designed seating and lightings to provide comfort and privacy to the users. The library stocked with 4000 Medical books, 40 journals and 2000 CDROM. The collection is being continuously updated with new editions of Books, Journals and periodicals.  Teachers and students encouraged to actively participate in the seminars, journal clubs and E-learning processes. Photocopying, printing and scanning services are available to the students in the library at minimal cost.

Eligibility & Admission Process for TRR Institute of Medical Sciences, Patancheru

Eligibility for MBBS admission

Nationality: Candidates must be Citizens of India/children or dependants of Non Resident Indians.

Qualification: As per MCI Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997, section 4 (2) the applicant should have passed the qualifying examinations as under:

(a) The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10 + 2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on education.

Note: Where the course content is not as prescribed for 10 + 2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one year pre-professional training before admission to the Medical colleges.

(b) The Intermediate examination in science of an Indian University / Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as compulsory subject. Or

(c) The pre – professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination, or the pre – university or an equivalant examination. The pre- professional/ premedical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry & Biology and also English as a compulsory subject. Or

(d) The first year of the three years degree course of a recognised university, with Physics, chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination is a “University Examination and candidate has passed 10 + 2 with English at a level not less than a core course. Or

(e)B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc examination with not less than two of the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Or

(f) Any other examination which, in scope and standard found to be equivalent to the intermediate science examination of an Indian University/ Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects and English. Marks obtained in mathematics are not to considered for admission to MBBS course.

Rounding off the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted

Candidates who have not passed their qualifying exam from the Telangana Secondary Board, the CBSE or ICSE shall provide an equivalency certificate obtained from the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences

As per order of Hon: Apex Court, only those candidates who qualified in the Medical Entrance Examination of NEET (UG)-2018 conducted by the CBSE will only considered for admission to MBBS Course. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ Candidates with Locomotor disability will be eligible for relaxation of qualification as per MCI norms.
