About Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur

Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) established in 2012. It situated in the heart of the Raipur City. With the global mission of “Health for All”, RIMS is delivering healthcare facilities and medical education, which is within the reach of each and every citizen. Within few years of inception, RIMS has set its place as one of the premier hospitals and medical college in the state of Chhattisgarh.

RIMS managed by the Lord Buddha Education Society. The MBBS course offered by RIMS affiliated to the Ayush and Health Sciences University, Raipur. The Government of Chhattisgarh issued the Essentiality Certificate (bearing Sl. No. 17-36/2010/IX/55) to open a hospital and medical college to the Lord Buddha Education Society on 14th July 2010.

Currently, RIMS is running 650 bedded hospital and a medical college for 150 MBBS seats. The availability of contemporary medical equipment, modernized ICUs, CCUs, OTs, laboratories and a team of well-trained medical staffs, are helping us to deliver the congenial atmosphere, which is a requisite for a standard medical institution. By using the latest technological developments, we committed to providing the cost-effective healthcare facilities and medical education.

Central Library

Books are man’s best friends, and so is library. RIMS library is fully air-conditioned, well lighted, fire alarm fitted, aesthetically designed and well executed. Any member of this College has free access to a rich collection of 3025 books, around 21 journals.

Examination Hall

Examination Hall at RIMS with a capacity of 250 students is spread over the area of 250 sqm. The examination hall has adequate desks/writing benches arranged in such a manner that there is sufficient space between two students. The examination hall is equipped with printing and other facilities, which are required for conducting examinations.

Hostel

RIMS has separate hostels for boys’ and girls’ students. To maintain discipline, smooth hostel room allotment process and maintenance of the hostel building, each hostel has a separate warden from teaching faculty. Mess facilities in the hostel premises serve homelike foods to students. There is a quality assessment team, which keeps a routine check on the quality of the food.

Eligibility & Admission Process for Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur

Eligibility MBBS

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)

– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)

Admission Process

Admission to the MBBS programme is based on candidates’ performance in NEET. Once the NEET results are declared, then the eligible candidates are called for counselling process.
