Central Library

A well-organized library in the college building with rich stock of reading materials can be described as the life line of any academic institution. (Over 63000 books). It has been acknowledged as one of the best libraries by even MCI the I library has a very rich collection of more than 63 thousand volumes of Text/Reference books (of many titles in each subject. it regularly subscribes more than 75 National/International Medical Journals covering all the Clinical, Para-Clinical and Pre-Clinical subjects in addition to a long list of WHO periodicals/reports.

AUDITORIUM

This is a beautiful auditorium named ‘Ahsish hall ‘with the capacity to accommodate about 300   persons. The auditorium is used for cultural as well as scientific programs like Seminar/Conferences/ Workshops etc.

RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION

Medical College has provided well-furnished residential accommodation to all undergraduate and post-graduate students; Faculty Members; Nursing and other technical staff. There are separate hostels for Boys & Girls students. Furniture, food, recreation and ail other aspects of comfort have been given high priority in the hostels for students. Facilities for Outdoor/Indoor games, Gymnasium, Aerobic exercise hall adds to the attainment of Physical and mental fitness of the students.

BOYS HOSTEL

At the present, the hostels for boys together have rooms with fully furnished single seated /double accommodation with toilet and small pantry attached. There are excellent facilities for indoor/outdoor games. Gymnasium etc.

GIRLS HOSTEL

At the present, the hostels for girls together have rooms with fully furnished single seated accommodation with toilet and small kitchen attached. There are excellent facilities for indoor/outdoor games, Aerobic exercise etc.

TEACHING HOSPITAL

The physical infrastructure of 514 bedded Teaching Hospital of Medical College has been designed and built to suite the required standards with all the essential and desirable facilities. The hospital complex houses three -storied buildings that accommodate the OPDs and wards of the clinical departments, Emergency department, Operation Theatres, Central Laboratory, Blood Bank, Pharmacies, and Canteen etc.

Fully furnished residential accommodation has been provided to all the Medical Doctors, Nursing and other Para-Medical staff in close Vicinity of the hospital. Round the clock Ambulance, Pharmacy, Blood Bank services are available within the hospital complex. The OPDs of the various departments together have a capacity to treat about 1000 patients daily. The average daily OPD attendance is between 600 to 700. The average Bed Occupancy in the wards remain around 75 percent throughout the year.

Eligibility & Admission Process for MGM Medical College, Jamshedpur
