Central Library

The library of MIMER Medical College, Talegaon Dabhade named after the Father of the Nation and strives to align with the principles and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi about the importance of imparting education. Mahatma Gandhi Central Library of MIMER Medical College is a well-furnished library with the latest editions of prescribed textbooks as well as reference books. Latest issues of Indian and Foreign Journals on Pre, Para and Clinical Subjects are available online and in hard copies for faculty and students. Spacious reading area, 24X7 reading room facilities, use of technology to provide services and trained staff are the highlights of our library.

Digital Library

College has LCD Projectors, Scanners & Digital Camera. The faculty makes extensive use of computers and the above-mentioned aids in the preparation of teaching material. Most of the teachers prepare Power Point Presentations on various topics / concepts and use them as teaching tool. Sometimes Internet aided teaching is also practiced by the faculty of the college. We have CDs/DVDs related to the different subjects of medical sciences in the department libraries. These shown to the students whenever required.

Skill Lab
The Clinical Skills laboratory will provide a model of the patient care environment where students can learn and apply cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills. The skills laboratory will help to ensure that all students have necessary learning opportunities and appropriate assessment and feedback before approaching real patients This skill lab will help the students, individually and as teams, the opportunity to work closely with each other to develop clinical skills, effective communication and teamwork skill sets. These skill sets are the foundation to fostering a culture of safety in medical field. It will also facilitate learning and objectively measure the student performance and competency at a given task.

Computer Lab
Air-conditioned computer room with Medlar and Internet facility with 40 nodes are available.  A digital lab with full Internet facility with latest computer systems is available for students as well as staff members. Here the users can access medical literature published in different journals/periodical and other sources.

Medical Education Unit Hall

The well-equipped, air-conditioned & sound proof MEU Hall of our College boasts of state-of-the-art architecture. The facilities include smart boards, LCD Projector, audio visual aids, flip charts, high speed internet connection, cordless mikes, collar mikes etc. The hall also has a good storage facility for the documents as well as display cupboards for various scientific journals and books. The seating capacity of MEU Hall is double the minimum requirement of NMC which can be temporally partitioned as per the requirement to hold large group discussion or small group discussion. Various Faculty development workshops as well as Residents workshops are conducted here.

Museums

Departments have well displayed museums with large number of specimens, models and charts used for the purpose of teaching. The specimens and charts are updated from time to time.

Amrapali canteen was established to provide Quality food with low cost in order to fulfil the nutritional requirements of students, staffs, patients & their relatives. Canteen was also attached with fruit provision store to enable patients to provide necessary goods. Canteen is working every day at 8am till 10pm.

Talegaon General Hospital

Dr. B. S. alias Bhausaheb Sardesai established Talegaon General Hospital in 1925 with the vision to provide excellent health care at an affordable cost. It was his dream to start a medical college at Talegaon. He along with his team collaborated with MAEER, M.I.T. Pune to establish the medical college. The hospital is renamed after him as Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai Talegaon Rural Hospital in order to cherish his memories. The hospital is located in the same campus of the college. It is worth mentioning that the Hospital is visited from time to time by renowned personalities from all walks of life.

The Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi has blessed this hospital in 1945.

The few of honourable personalities who have also visited the institutions such as, Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve, Dr. Sushila Nair, Sir. M. Vishwesharaya, Shri Yashwant Rao Chavan, Shri Shankar Rao Chavan, The then Prime Minister Shri Chandra Shekhar, & Union Minister Shri. Sharad Pawar.

Health Campus

Health Camps The conduction of Health Camps is a vital activity for the institution. Various health camps are organized by the various departments of the institute for the benefit of the needy patients and to fulfil the envisioned objective of making healthcare available to everyone without discrimination even at the far-flung areas.

Blood Bank

Blood component separation unit is started in December 2012 and since then blood collection and issue has increased substantially. Along with Whole blood, PCV, FFP, Platelets & Cryoprecipitate are available in this Blood Bank.

Eligibility MBBS

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)

– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)

Admission Process

Admission to the MBBS programme is based on candidates’ performance in NEET. Once the NEET results are declared, then the eligible candidates are called for counselling process.
