GREAT EASTERN MEDICAL SCHOOL AND HOSPITAL, Srikakulam, established on August 2004, is the creation of our Chairman, Sri Rajyasri Bollineni. It is recognized by the Medical Council of India and was affiliated to the DR N.T.R. University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh from 2010. It was her dream to put up a Medical College & Hospital with modern facilities to cater for the rural population. This is the most modern medical college in the Srikakulam District of Andhra Pradesh, Providing education to the budding Doctors and State of the art medical health care to the local population, and also to those from bordering districts of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa.

Hostel

One each for boy & girl students hostel rooms are fully furnished with attached toilet and bath room. Three students are accommodated in each room. There are common facilities like mess, kitchen, dining hall spacious halls for recreation, reading purposes and for visitors. solar energy powered water supply source is available at the hostel gym also available.

CASUALTY & EMERGENCY SERVICES:

All Casualty Services are available round the clock 24 x 7. Duty Doctors are available round the clock. Emergency services are available for all specialities.

OPD SERVICES:

OPD services are available on all the days (including Sundays and Gazetted Holidays) from 9.00 AM to 5.00PM. Various out-patient services available in the hospital are -General Medicine, Paediatrics, Respiratory Medicine, Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy (DVL), Psychiatry, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Oto-rhino-laryngology (ENT), Obstetrics & Gynaecology (OBG), Dental Surgery, Community Medicine (Immunization, Anti-rabies Clinic), P.M.R.

SUPER-SPECIALITY OPD SERVICES:

Cardiology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Urology, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Plastic surgery are available on all the days.

INDOOR PATIENT SERVICES:

Indoor patient care is catering to the needs of this city, nearby villages and also patients of the adjacent State like Odissa. There is a 100 bedded Intensive Care Unit for taking care of seriously ill patients. There is a 8 bedded Intensive Coronary Care Unit for cardiac patients requiring intensive treatment. There is a Labour Room for conducting deliveries round the clock. 24 x 7 Emergency OT facility is available. Free diet is provided to all the indoor patients. Every patient is provided pass for his/her attendant for security purpose. Visitors are allowed only during visiting hours i.e., from 12.00 PM to 2.00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

BLOOD BANK SERVICES: Available 24 X 7, It has also component separation facility and dedicated team of pathologists.

LABORATORY SERVICES:

All routine, Molecular including emergency laboratory services are available round the clock. Radio Diagnostic Services are available include X-Rays, Ultrasonography, C.T. Scan and MRI etc.

OTHER FACILITIES:

Cold drinking water, Wheel chair and patient Trolleys are available for transportation of patients. Ambulance facility is available. Stand-by Electricity Generators have been provided at all locations of the Hospital building and the Medical College. Canteen for patients ‘attendants is available adjacent to the Indoor hospital. Lifts/ramps are available for access to higher floors in addition the Stair case. Adequate toilet facilities for use of patients and their attendants are available.

Eligibility & Admission Process for Great Eastern Medical School and Hospital, Srikakulam

Eligibility MBBS

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)

– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)

Admission Process

Admission to the MBBS programme is based on candidates’ performance in NEET. Once the NEET results are declared, then the eligible candidates are called for counselling process.
