About Government Medical College, Kathua

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in 2017, conceived the idea of starting a batch of five new medical colleges across the state to strengthen the already existing medical colleges to make the state’s health care systems at par with the premier health care institutions across the country.

Government Medical College Kathua is one of the newly established medical college. Located at beautiful scenic village of Chak Sajjan in Kathua, it is situated at a distance of 4km from city of Kathua, which is both district & sub-district headquarter of Chak Sajjan village.

Eligibility & Admission Process for Government Medical College, Kathua

Eligibility MBBS

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)

– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)

Admission Process

Admission to the MBBS programme is based on candidates’ performance in NEET. Once the NEET results are declared, then the eligible candidates are called for counselling process.
