About F.H. Medical College

At F.H. Medical College we cater the needs of students by providing high quality Medical Education and training and we wish the students to develop as a complete Doctor- full of sympathy and empathy for the suffering humanity.

There are two objects of medical education: one is to heal the sick, and other is the advancement of science. Our Medical College leverages the scientific capabilities, expertise and resources to provide the medical education fully focused on preparing physicians for the medicine of tomorrow. We have dedicated and highly qualified teaching faculty members who at every step are ready to counsel the students. An in-built system of continuous internal assessment helps the students to keep abreast with the teaching and self-evaluation simultaneously.

Sports and recreational facilities provide the students opportunities to de-stress and relax. Well-equipped laboratories, high-tech state of the art investigative facilities, including CT scan, and ICU at hospital campus provide the students with the needed facilities for teaching and training.

The central library with a large number of books on varied fields of medical educations, well recognized national and international journals along with facility of digital library provides an extraordinary environment for learning and excellence in education.

LECTURE THEATRES

Lecture Theatres are fully-equipped with ultramodern equipment as support teaching pedagogies; there are regular classes, seminars, and conferences and has at times played host to some very high-profile events at the College. For conducting faculty meetings, presentations by external experts and year-wise departmental meetings. Accommodates around 180 members.

A Good Public Address system is available on campus for seminars and presentations. The rooms have full audio-visual facilities and full wireless internet access used for conducting faculty meetings, presentations by external experts and year-wise departmental meetings

LIBRARY

Central Library and 17 Departmental Libraries, which collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the college. The Central Library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of books, journals, back volume of journals, theses, WHO publications, CD ROMs and internet services. The library strives to provide timely, accurate and current information, and to provide an appropriate and comfortable academic environment for the users.

CAFETERIA AND MESS

State-of-the-art air-conditioned cafeterias with modern catering facilities are available for staff and students inside the college campus. The food and snacks served in the cafeterias are freshly made and left overs are either disposed on the same day or disturbed among poor. The taste of the food is also delicious which doesn’t let the students feel home sick.

A proper check made on the hygiene and preparation of food at the cafeteria. The tables, chairs, floors and the place where the food is cooked cleaned frequently and timely. The health of the students is very important for the management of the college and hence all the measures taken to ensure the same. The mess for the hosteller remains open till the odd hours considering the lifestyle the students lead.

Bank and ATM facility is provided inside the college premises, to facilitate students and staff in money matters.

RESIDENCE & BUILDINGS

FHMC has well-furnished air-conditioned hostel accommodation to accommodate 450 students separately for boys and girls. Staying in the hostel is compulsory for all students. Hostel rooms are well built and spacious and are available on a twin – sharing basis. Each room is provided with two beds, two wardrobes, two study tables and a chair for each student. Water purifiers and water coolers are provided for potable water.

FH medical college has fully functional hospital with capacity of 650 beds, well equipped with all major facilities of advanced technologies in medical sciences. The hospital has a 5 storied building, with Trauma and emergency services available 24×7.

All emergency cases are looked after by the emergency medical officer under supervision of specialist faculty of the concerned specialty. The facilities of emergency surgery are also available in the causality / emergency department. The nursing college is associated with FH Hospital, this gives the maximum of nursing care to the patient. All the emergency staff is trained in dealing of any kind of medical emergency.

The students of FH Medical college get the good number of patients to learn the medicine. All the reception area and patient record system is fully computerized. Hospital has the huge parking area, beautiful lawns, own transformer and generator to ensure 24 hours availability of power.

Admission Process

Admission to the MBBS programme is based on candidates’ performance in NEET. Once the NEET results are declared, then the eligible candidates are called for counselling process.
