About Dr. Patnam Mahender Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences, Chevella, Telangana

DR.PMR Institute of Medical Sciences, established under Rinish Educational Society, registered under Societies Act., at Chevella, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana, is a hospital with itsstate of art ultra-modern facilities, providing general and specialized healthcare with the bed strength of 350.

Our mission is to cater the health care needs of established standards to every individual living in the regions, in and around, the Chevella village. The health care services are provided to all the needy, poor and deserving people.

The college is recognized by Govt. of India and Medical Council of India and is affiliated by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, Telangana. The medical college commenced with 150 MBBS admissions annually from the year 2019-20. Since its inception, the hospital has set up fully fledged ICU, ICCU, NICU, PICU, SICU care, operation theatres with ultra-modern facilities to handle surgeries along with pre and post operative wards to serve patients.

Well-equipped central clinical lab with latest diagnostic equipment’s in Biochemistry, Pathology and Microbiology are housed in the Hospital block, which support the diagnosis of around 1000 patients in a day. Hospital wing has well ventilated, 24 ultra-modern wards, with nursing stations which can render its services to 350 in-patients, with well trained nurses, who are passionate to serve poor and needy.

We serve 24/7 Emergency care with qualified causality medical officers, nurses, paramedical staff and well-equipped Causality block of the hospital.

For decades, the hospital has been successful in creating a unique identity of its own in the region of Chevella, as a professional medical care provider with a strong adherence to ethics and a clear focus on bettering the health and lifestyle of the community that it operates in.

Dr.PMRIMS is the hub of academic activities. It houses all preclinical and Paraclinical departments, library, lecture halls and examination hall. Separate Recreation Rooms are available for boys & girls in the Academic Block of the college.

LECTURE HALLS: Academic block with fully air-conditioned Lecture halls with excellent seating arrangements are available for teaching purpose with audio visual aids including sound amplifying system, overhead projector, 35mm slide projector, LCD projector and microphone and provision for conversion into E-classes for teaching.

CENTRAL LIBRARY: A unique state of art Library cum Digital Information Centre spread over two thousand Square meters is located in the Academic Block. The library has ergonomically designed seating and lightings to provide comfort and privacy to the users. The library is stocked with 4124 Medical books, 40 journals and 2000 CDROM. The collection is being continuously updated with new editions of Books, Journals and periodicals. Teachers and students are encouraged to actively participate in the seminars, journal clubs and Elearning processes. Photocopying, printing and scanning services are available to the students in the library at minimal cost. Air-conditioned computer lab with 40 computers along with Medlar and internet facility.

IT DEPARTMENT: The data in respect to attendance, scholastic performance & overall progress of the students is recorded and stored in a retrievable form using a software program called Students Information System (SIS). Parents are updated regarding the progress of their wards every month by email and postal communication.

Whole campus is under CCTV surveillance.

COUNSELLING CENTER: The college has a full time Campus Officer and student counsellor. Under teacher mentor scheme a faculty member is assigned for 12-15 students to take care of their academic needs and individual difficulties. Parent Teacher & Student Meetings are held at-least twice a year to discuss the progress of the students.
