About Career Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital (CIMSH Lucknow)

Career Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Lucknow was established in 2011 with the approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India. This Institution is running MBBS course affiliated to Dr. Rammanohar Lohia Avadh University Ayodhya Uttar Pradesh and recognised by Medical Council of India for admitting 150 students every year.

This Institute is also permitted to admit students for MD/MS courses in 18 (Eighteen) subjects with 54 P. G. seats consisting Department of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obst. & Gynae, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Respiratory Medicine, Psychiatry and Radio-Diagnosis.

The Institute has a 24X7 running hospital of more than 600 beds with most modern facilities for patient care, teaching, training and research. Hospital facilities of the Medical College and Hospital provide modern health care including critical care and emergency services to the population at large.

Accommodation

College has separate hostels for boys and girls with a range of rooms and a variety of services that make living on campus safe, comfortable and affordable. Residents enjoy the support of committed and caring wardens who are available 24X7.

ATM and Banking

There is ATM set up by the Punjab National Bank on campus to help students and faculty with banking transactions.

Auditorium

Our state-of-the-art auditorium has a seating capacity of 700. The auditorium boasts of high-end equipment for sound and video.

Canteen and Cafeteria

There is a hygienic, multi-cuisine vegetarian canteen for both resident students and day scholars. A leading café chain has set up its operations on campus to offer variety with coffees, sandwiches, pastries, etc. There is a canteen and a Coffee shop in the campus. Canteen provides hygienic multi cuisine awesome food throughout the day.

Central Library

The Central library of the medical college is centrally air-conditioned and automated which stores rich collection of recent text books & references materials. Hard copies of International and National Journals are available. In addition to this, the benefit of browsing through the internet and downloading the developments in the field of medical science is made available through e-library.

The environment is quite conducive for peaceful studies. A photocopier is available. A common reading hall accommodating 150 students is provided. The text books of different subjects are stacked in the main Library with computerized cataloguing for easy reference. There is a separate staff reading room.

The digital library with 40 computers for browsing. Separate toilets for men and women, safe drinking water and coffee machines are provided for the student’s utility. He Central Library is spread over 17,000 sq. ft, and houses more than 60,000 books and other documents. The library subscribes to more than 60 national and international journals.

Indoor and Outdoor Sports & Playgrounds

Large playing fields support a wide variety of games, such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey and Kho-Kho. In view of an all-round development of the students, liberal arrangements have been made in the way of indoor, outdoor games and sports facilities for boys and girls so as to provide them with ample competitive and recreational opportunities

Medical Centre

Medical facilities are available on campus through a dispensary staffed by a Medical Officer & Nurse.

Security and Safety

CIMSH has a large team of professionally-trained security personnel patrolling and guarding the campus 24X7 to ensure safety of students, staff and infrastructure. The complete campus is under CCTV surveillance.

Seminar Rooms and Conference Hall

The Institute has more than 15 full-fledged seminar rooms with projectors and internet connectivity.

The Fitness Centre & Gymnasium

Fitness Centres- College offers these Fitness facilities for overall development of students. Gymnasium -There is a well quipped Gymnasium in the college campus for Boys and one Gym is for Girls, there are separate Coaches in GYM for Boys and Girls.

The air-conditioned fitness centre at CIMSH is spread over 3500 sq. ft, and is comparable to any of the commercial fitness centres in the city. It offers the latest cardio and weight training equipment to its faculty and students. It also has dedicated shower and locker room facilities for both men and women.

Transportation

CIMSH provides faculty and students with bus services from all parts of the city to the Institute. The buses are comfortable, safe and economical, being subsidised by the Institute.

Hostel Facilities

A separate accommodation for boys and girls available in the campus. There are seven hostels viz boys’ and girls’ hostel (UG), boys and girls (PG), Interns Hostel (Male & Female separate), Resident Doctor Hostel and Nurses Hostel. The hostel facility and accommodation are accordance with the MCI regulations for 100 admissions.

The hospital has well equipped eleven modern operation theatres for General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, ENT and Obstetrics & Gynaecology besides one septic O.T. and one for emergency services. There are three minor O.T.s in Surgery O.P.D., Obst. & Gynae O.P.D. and one in Emergency.

Central Laboratory services are available for Clinical Pathology Clinical Haematology, Histopathology, Serology, Immunology, Cytology, Bacteriology, Clinical Biochemistry and Microbiology investigations. The Institute has a well-equipped modern 24X7 Blood Bank with Component Separator and apheresis facilities (Apheresis for SDP).

The hospital is also equipped with facilities for Paediatric Surgery, Urology, Cardiology, G. I. Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery, Joint Replacement Surgery, Cancer detection, Sterility Clinic, Pain Clinic, Paediatric Counselling and Paediatric Rehabilitation.
