About All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rajkot, Gujarat

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rajkot in Gujarat is one amongst the several new AIIMS, established under the Ptradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. AIIMS, Rajkot has objectives to reduce the “gaps” in affordable tertiary health care, and to generate ‘wellnesses amongst the general population. AIIMS, Rajkot is under the phase six of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). AIIMS Rajkot shall be a 750 bedded hospital with multiple specialty as well as superspecialist departments.

The Project cost of construction is about Rs. 1195 Crores, which includes an allocation of Rs. 185 Crores towards state-of-the art medical equipment. The Government of Gujarat has allotted about 201 Acres of Land for the project and shall take care of access roads, water facilities and provision of electricity connection.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rajkot (AIIMS Rajkot) is a public medical school and hospital based in Rajkot, Gujarat, India, and one of the All-India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMSs). The first academic session of AIIMS Rajkot began on 21 December 2020. On 31 December 2020 Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the institute.

298 Acres Land Area. The land is close to Rajkot and is 6 km from Municipal Corporation’s limits.
The Government of Gujarat has earmarked around 201 acres of land for the project and will take care of providing access roads, water facilities and electricity connection.
Undergraduate Men’s Hostel for first year students with 40 rooms in one campus that was temporary premises currently situated in B4 and B5 quarter of the Staff Residential Complex buildings of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Government Medical College.
Undergraduate Men’s Hostel for second year students with 23 rooms in one campus is currently a temporary campus in the PDU Medical College Training Hostel.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process for All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rajkot, Gujarat

Here are the steps involved in the admission process:

Eligibility criteria: The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission, and should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects with a minimum aggregate of 60% (50% for SC/ST candidates).
Application form: The application form for the AIIMS MBBS entrance exam can filled online on the official website of AIIMS. The application fee can also paid online.
Admit card: The admit card for the entrance exam will released on the official website. Candidates can download the admit card by entering their login credentials.
Entrance exam: The AIIMS MBBS entrance exam conducted in online mode and consists of 200 multiple-choice questions covering subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Knowledge, and Aptitude & Logical Thinking. The duration of the exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Result: The result of the AIIMS MBBS entrance exam will declared on the official website. Candidates can check their results by entering their roll number and date of birth.
Counselling: The shortlisted candidates will called for counselling based on their merit ranks. The counselling process will conducted in multiple rounds, and candidates will have to submit their original documents for verification.
