About Southern Medical College And Hospital

We recognize our social responsibility, particularly in the health sector, where the ratio of physicians to patients is alarmingly low in Bangladesh. Many people cannot afford treatment costs, and we are surrounded by individuals suffering from various ailments. To address these challenges and provide care and comfort, we established this medical college, which is equipped with modern facilities and has a charitable mission. Here, underprivileged individuals receive top-notch treatment without discrimination.

Our hospital is operational and thriving, with plans to develop specialized departments. Our initial focus will be on Nephrology, and we are taking steps to establish kidney dialysis facilities. It is important to note that only two hospitals in Chittagong offer this service, and low-income groups often lack access to it. Southern Medical College & Hospital is committed to serving these underserved populations. Additionally, we are working to enhance our Orthopedic Department, as this area still requires significant development in Chattogram. While we acknowledge that our journey has been challenging, we have persevered through all obstacles.
