Shandong First Medical University – School of Basic Medical Sciences/ Biomedical Lores academy of Basic Medical Lores( BMS), Shandong University, is rich in history and is considered to be one of the oldest medical seminaries in China.

About Shandong First Medical University

Shandong First Medical University history is traced to Cheeloo Medical School of Cheeloo University, which was established in 1911. A number of largely competitive institutions – the Cheeloo Medical School of Cheeloo University, Shandong Provincial Medical College, and East China Norman Bethune Medical College – were intermingled to establish Shandong Medical College in 1952.

The university was later renamed Shandong Medical University in 1985. In July 2000, with the combinations of Shandong University, Shandong Medical University, and Shandong University of Technology, the Preclinical Medicine Department and the Clinical Medicine Department of the original Shandong Medical University were incorporated into the recently formed Shandong University School of Medicine.

Posterior restructuring in June 2016 saw the academy merge into the School of Basic Medical Sciences/ Biomedical Lores( BMS) and the School of Clinical Medicine, both under the operation of the famed Cheeloo College of Medicine. Throughout its hundred- time course of development, BMS has made important benefits to the progress of medical education and exploration in China.

It has cultivated over 30,000 distinguished medical workers, who have since become distinguished leaders, authors, and settlers of different medical specializations at public and transnational situations. Now, BMS is a major tutoring and exploration center of the Cheeloo College of Medicine, Shandong University.

It has ten tutoring departments, a public experimental tutoring demonstration center, and further than 250 faculty members. They include 45 professors and 80 associate professors, and distinguished scholars like one specialist chosen to share in the” Thousand bents Program”, four Distinguished/ president Professors in the” Cheung Kong Scholars Programme”, two nationally famed preceptors, five National Science Foundation Distinguished Young Scholars, two winners of the Excellent Youth Science Foundation, and five Distinguished” Taishan Scholars” Professors of Shandong Province.

This solid faculty foundation guarantees both academic excellence and innovative exploration. BMS now trains over 2,000 scholars, including 1,200 undergraduates studying clinical drug( first to third time), further than 400 Master’s and PhD scholars in introductory medical lores, and close to 300 transnational scholars for MBBS. In 2019, the academy also introduced an undergraduate major in Biomedical lores, keeping pace with public strategic demands and transnational scientific tendencies.

A specific aspect of BMS is its slice- edge tutoring and training model, which focuses on incorporating theoretical study with exploration- grounded practice. Scholars are introduced to scientific inquiry beforehand in their studies through a” one- to- one tutorial system”, which leads them to transcend unresistant immersion of knowledge towards active knowledge generators.

This model builds critical thinking chops, problem- working capacities, and exploration capabilities. Through promoting interdisciplinary literacy, creativity, and global vision, BMS strives to develop largely good, exploration- grounded, and encyclopedically able medical leaders who can advance biomedical roles and healthcare encyclopedically.
