• St George’s Hospital opened in 1733 at Hyde Park Corner, marking the beginning of its long and distinguished history. Teaching at the hospital began in 1752, laying the foundation for medical education excellence.
• After the war, in 1988, the School of Engineering was founded, with departments being established through 1990.
• In the year 1994, City University celebrated its 100th anniversary, marking a century of academic excellence.
