Yanbian University Health Science Center Established in 1949, Yanbian University was among the first universities to be founded by the Communist Party of China in ethnic minority areas. It has expanded into a well-rounded institution with numerous fields of studies throughout the years.

The university has 20 colleges at present, with 75 undergraduate majors, 8 first-level doctoral degree programs, 1 second-level doctoral program, 31 first-level master’s degree programs, 5 second-level master’s disciplines, and 18 professional master’s authorization points.
