The General Medicine course at the University Of Traditional Medicine found its department in 1991.Though the specialty to the course was accredited in 2001 by The Ministry of Education and Science. The education in this department lasts 6 years including the internship period and the total credit of the subjects is 360.

For approximately 26 years the University Of Traditional Medicine is preparing graduates who work in theoretical as well as practical medicine fields in Armenia and throughout the world. The duration of study here is of six years which in general is the staple time period required to cover an MBBS course.
