Anhui University of Chinese Medicine – China originated as the Anhui Provincial TCM Continuing Education Class and was officially recognized in 1959 as Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine by the People’s Government of Anhui Province. The institution witnessed further development with the establishment of the Anhui Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2011. In 2013, the Ministry of Education approved its renaming to Anhui University of Chinese Medicine. Today, the university operates across four campuses—Shaoquanhu, Meishan Road, Shihe Road, and Lu’an Road—and comprises 13 secondary colleges, including three directly affiliated hospitals. It offers 32 undergraduate programs and is home to 21,147 full-time students, including 17,482 undergraduates, 3,397 master’s students, and 268 doctoral candidates. Its academic and medical strength is reinforced by a team of 4,924 staff members, including 1,275 with senior professional titles.
