About Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College

The college began with just 50 students and limited infrastructure, with initial academic and clinical activities conducted at the 250-bed General Hospital of Gopalganj. Over the years, the college has grown steadily, and as of 2021, academic activities are now held in a modern six-story academic building. In February 2023, the Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College & Hospital (SSKMCH) opened its doors, starting with outpatient department (OPD) services, and is set to launch inpatient services soon. The hospital, which has a 500-bed capacity, is equipped with modern facilities, including an ICU, HDU, and CCU.

Currently, the college admits 65 students annually, with plans to expand this number as the hospital’s capacity increases. More than 300 students have completed their MBBS from the college and continue to serve society in various capacities.
